Spring STEM Research and Science Fair!
You will
Why?
1. What do you want to learn about? Choose a topic that matters to you and get resources.
1.1 Pick a Topic:
Think about topics related to Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math. You will need to choose a topic on which you can find resources that are both paper (book, magazine article, etc.) and electronic (website, online encyclopedia, etc.).
Each person in 5th grade will research a different topic. You may research something in the same general area, though. For example, one student may research the history of cars, while another studies techniques used to improve car gas mileage, and still another student learns about hydrogen fuel cars.
Later, you will choose an experiment that is related to your topic. You may want to start thinking about experiments that you would want to do and how they might relate to what you are interested in as you are choosing your topic.
Choose 3 or more topics. Fill out a STEM fair topic sheet and turn it in. Teachers will ensure that each student has one unique topic.
